Happy Anniversary to the Bioderma Miraculous H2O
Rule: Never without my Bioderma water micellar
The Bioderma water micellar and me have been living a great story since 2004. I went to a pharmacy to look for a cleansing care. Why in pharmacy ? Because in France, most of dermatological laboratories are sold in pharmacies. My pharmacist Antony recommended to try Bioderma water micellar. So I started using Bioderma and never stopped. I take it everywhere. It’s the product that I request the most from relatives visiting from Paris. In Canada, Bioderma is expensive, moreover all French Dermatological Laboratories are more expensive than in France. But, you can order online (Amazon.com), it’s almost the same price as France. When I came to Toronto, every month I had to change cleansing care products because I couldn’t find one that satisfied me completely. I never felt clean! My face was too greasy. If it wasn’t cleansing milk that was too heavy, it was the cleansing wipes or the micellar water that was too oily . In short removing makeup became a painful moment. No makeup remover has been able to replace my Bioderma micellar water. I quickly restarted my ‘Parisian habits’ 😉 by going to Shoppers Drug Mart to find my Bioderma micellar water while waiting for my next trip to Paris. Well! Back to this magic product. It fulfilled all my expectations so I was totally seduced. If you’re looking for a product to clean, remove your makeup softly and deeply at the same time. Do not search anymore! It’s a perfect multifunction product and usable anytime.
With Bioderma, I do more than removing my makeup, I clean, purify and refresh my face. After a though day, your face is covered with pollution, irritated by the cold or dehydrated by the heat. The micellar water will refresh and clean your face deeply. Why am I addicted to this product ? First, it’s a water-based solution, paraben-free. You can apply it all over the face without worrying about your eyes. Do you know that well-being feeling when you pour water on your face? It’s a simple gesture but so pleasant. With Bioderma, the difference is that I use purifying water which repairs my little scratches. I’m not exaggerating when I called to ‘miraculous’ water. Like I told you before, after trying many micellar waters, none of them reached the level of Bioderma. So, never change a winning team! It’s one of my bathroom must have and I’m not alone in this case, we’re so many. It’s the ‘flagship’ product of Bioderma laboratories and I was flattered to know it became the backstage must have at ‘the Fashion Weeks’ . Makeup artists swear by the Bioderma micellar water.
What does micellar water mean? The micellar water is a liquid composed of water and micelles. Micelles are very small phospholipids which behave as oil. Thereof having a hydrophilic part and a hydrophobic part, they are able to cling to impurities and dust. And the good news is with Bioderma everyone finds her micellar water. There is a micellar water for all skin types. Given my dry skin and which becomes very dry during winter, I use the Sensibio (or Créaline in French) line designed for sensitive skin. Depending on the seasons, I alternate with 2 micellar waters available in the Sensibio line. Most of the time, I use Sensibio H2O that perfectly meets my expectations. In winter, I replace it by Sensibio H2O TS because my skin becomes very dry sometimes irritated. Especially, during the Canadian winter and temperatures as low as -40° C which always amaze me.
Which H2O are you ? Find the one that suits you:
- Sensibio (or Créaline) H2O TS: For sensitive to very dry skin, it soothes and decongests irritated skin. (only available in Europe)
- Hydrabio H2O: For dehydrated sensitive skin, it will boost skin moisture.
- Sensibio (or Créaline) H2O “Ranked No.1”: For sensitive to intolerant skin. Esters of fatty acids are involved in the natural replenishment of fat from the skin. This is the number 1 of all Bioderma micellar waters.
- Sebium H2O “Ranked No. 2″: For combination, oily or blemished skin. Enriched with purifying active, zinc gluconate and copper sulfate, it cleanses the skin and reduces sebum secretion.
- Sensibio (or Créaline) H2O AR: For sensitive to reddish skin, it helps to reduce redness.
My Daily Cleansing Routine: I use it when necessary. Sometimes, I clean my face after my shower. It’s crazy because I realized that my face was not completely clean (limestone in water?) But, usually my Bioderma moment takes place every night. After a rough day, my face is covered with impurities, dust and fatigue. I need to feel ‘clean and fresh’! When I get home or before sleeping, I take my makeup off, cleanse and tone. This is my favorite moment in front of my mirror when my micellar water turns into miraculous water To clean my face: I usually soak 2-3 cottons pads till my face is completely clean. Do not rinse or wipe. Let micelles act on your face. If you want, you can just dab your face with a clean cotton towel. Generally, following the makeup removal, I add a touch of Avène Thermal Spring Water (perfect for sensitive to irritated skin). This is my routine to have a face regenerated upon awakening.
There is a newcomer in the Sensibio line. Sensibio H2O wipes! I bought it on my last trip to Paris. It’s very practical because it can easily fit in your handbag. During a long flight, you could take it to clean and refresh yourself. If you don’t like wipes, there is also the Smallest Bottle “special travel format” (100ml) available in Sensibio H2O and Sebium H2O.
It is never too late to believe in miracles…
