It’s become a ritual to relax myself when I feel tired by the routine. Korean mask is one of my discoveries in North America. Of course, I’d like to spend my time in the spa, but the problem is when ? Many women feel that way. So, I found an alternative that will replenish you during a break: Having my spa day at home! Korean mask is my solution to renew my face. Before, when I thought relaxation, I had massages. Now facial treatment ranks 1st. In the past, my face has always been a preoccupation since teen years. In high school, me and my girls used to focus on our faces and hair. We didn’t have enough money, so aesthetics was our major asset. Apparently, taking care of my face has stuck with me!
Why is my face important ? Because, my face reflects my mood . I express myself with my face… Like we say in French “avoir bonne mine” which means ‘look good‘ is most important. Mommy, wife or active women don’t overlook your face. You should take 30 min to apply a Korean mask. With this mask, you will feel cool as if you were at the spa. Unlike other masks, Korean masks have an immediate effect by refreshing your tired skin. Korean masks are really affordable and convenient. You don’t have to prepare it yourself, to scrub your face or rinse after applying.
How to use it ? You just need to gently apply your mask sheet on your clean face with your fingertips. Leave the mask on for 20-30min and then remove. Softly massage your face until all remaining nutrients are absorbed. Avoid contact with your eyes.
There is a full range of Korean masks. So, I listed for you my faves suitable specially for dry, sensitive and mature skin but depending on your skin needs, you’ll choose your own Korean facial treatment:
1. Black charcoal mask: Renowned for its purifying and detoxifying properties, charcoal also contains a strong absorption power. The particularity of Korean black charcoal mask is to include snail secretion filtrate + collagen + hyaluronate and EGF. Snail secretion filtrate stimulates the formation of elastin, Epidermal growth factor (EGF) is a growth factor that stimulates cell growth, hyaluronate fights against free-radical damage and collagen allows to improve your natural formation of collagen. I used to apply the black charcoal mask blended with avocado or coenzyme Q10 or red clay extracts. All those are moisturizing masks to nourish my dry face and get more nutrients which make me feel soft and fresh.
Avocado is a good moisturizer full of vitamin C and E that improves your skin firmness and prevents free-radical damage that comes with the aging or sun exposure. With its fatty acids, avocado regenerates the epidermal of your skin and maintains your skin’s elasticity.
The Coenzyme Q10 is the anti-aging flagship that I recommend if you’re 30 years of age or older. It’s also a good moisturizing care for fighting or preventing dark circles and wrinkles.
I really the Red Clay mask which is an ancient exfoliating care from Morocco. Red clay revitalizes, detoxifies, improves your skin’s appearance and keeps acne away.
2. Rose Water mask: With the pleasant smell of the rose added to its nourishing and softening properties, is an amazing refreshing mask! Rose water prevents sunburn and hydrates dry skin. Your skin will rejuvenate and tonify immediately.
3. Red Ginseng Collagen mask: If you have eye circles, wrinkles, dark circles, and more… it’s for you! It’s the perfect anti-aging mask. Red ginseng collagen increases your collagen production, stimulates your blood flow helping it to regenerate and prevents and reduces your eye circles. It’s perfect for women in their thirties! I have dark circles and when I use this mask, I notice an instant big change.
4. Aqua mask: If you have dry skin like me it’s because your face need more water. Aqua mask will moisturize and nourish your skin cells with a cooling effect.
Just let me know how your spa day was?
